Once the best in the area, now poor
Something happened. New Golden Fountain (together with it's sister in Queens) served the best egg rolls, dim sum and numerous other dishes. Something happened and by 2009 quality had dropped well below the norm for Chinese restaurants. I really miss the old quality.

Surprise, a good meal, even if you are not Latin!
I had a sick family member in St Joseph's next door and it was here or McDonald's again. I pleasantly surprised not only by the food but the service too. The chicken is well worth your try.

Wholesome food you can count on
It's small and you may have to wait for a table but the Tibbet Diner (formally Darby's Diner) has been worth the wait for the 35 years I have been going there. Closes at 9 or 10pm.
